PRIVACY POLICY

Effective date: May 16, 2026

1. What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Not Real Live handles information when you use our website, desktop app, hosted checkout pages, cloud proxy, account system, and related services.

Not Real Live is a desktop app that connects to OBS, analyzes selected stream audio and visuals, and generates simulated chat messages. Because the product processes stream content, the privacy details below are specific to that workflow.

2. Information we collect

Account information: email address, Supabase user ID, authentication session details, and basic profile flags such as admin status.

Billing information: plan, subscription status, billing dates, Paddle customer IDs, Paddle subscription IDs, Paddle transaction IDs, top-up purchases, credit balances, and the email address associated with a purchase. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers.

Usage and allowance information: session start and end times, app version, session duration, provider/model names, token counts, audio seconds, estimated cost, feature names, and credit usage needed to enforce plan limits.

Stream processing data: screenshots or frames from the OBS scene you select, audio chunks, transcripts, current game, prompts, and model responses may be processed to generate chat messages. These are routed through our cloud proxy and AI providers. We do not intentionally store raw stream screenshots, audio, transcripts, or prompts on our cloud servers as ordinary product records.

Local app data: the desktop app may store settings, OBS connection details, selected audio source names, the current game, cached authentication state, recent debug audio metadata, local audio chunks, and debug exports on your device.

Technical data: IP address, browser/device information, request metadata, error logs, and security logs may be collected by our hosting, proxy, authentication, payment, and infrastructure providers.

3. How we use information

To create and manage accounts, authenticate users, and keep users signed in when they choose that option.

To process subscriptions, top-up purchases, cancellations, plan changes, billing status, and credit usage.

To provide the core app features, including OBS analysis, audio transcription, prompt generation, AI model calls, web search when enabled, and simulated chat output.

To prevent abuse, enforce plan limits, debug failures, secure the service, calculate costs, and improve reliability.

To send account, payment, security, and service-related messages.

4. Third-party services

We use service providers to run the product. These may include Supabase for authentication and database services; Paddle as merchant of record and payment processor; Google Cloud Run for the AI proxy; Vercel for hosted web pages; OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Groq for AI processing; and Sentry if error reporting is configured.

When the app sends stream content, audio, transcripts, prompts, search queries, or other inputs to an AI provider, that provider processes the data so the requested feature can work. Their handling of data is governed by their own terms and privacy notices.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Cookies and local storage

The website and desktop webview may use cookies, local storage, or session storage for authentication, remembering sign-in preferences, payment status, cached app bootstrap data, and normal product functionality.

If you choose Remember me, authentication state may be stored locally for up to 30 days. You can sign out to clear the local session.

6. Retention

We keep account, subscription, billing, credit, and usage records for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal/accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain accurate billing history.

Local debug data and settings remain on your device until the app rotates, overwrites, exports, or deletes them, or until you remove the app data yourself.

Cloud request logs are kept according to the retention settings of our infrastructure providers. We try not to log raw stream content, audio, prompts, or generated messages as ordinary cloud logs.

7. Your choices and rights

You can update your email address in the app, sign out, cancel a subscription from the app, and remove local app data from your device.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or information about how your personal information is used. You may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.

To make a privacy request, contact us at support@not-real-live.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request.

8. Children

Not Real Live is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Security

We use authentication, access controls, server-side API keys, HTTPS, provider security features, and least-privilege design where practical. No system is perfectly secure, so you should avoid streaming or submitting highly sensitive personal information through the app.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
